Dr. Kneeland Brown
from Focus on the Family's Leadership Institute


Dr. Kneeland C. Brown serves as Executive Director of the Focus Leadership Institute at Focus on the Family. In this role, he develops and oversees the Institute program, which equips university students to make a difference in family, church and culture.
As a father, scholar and professor, it has long been Brown’s passion to see the rising generation of Christians combine scholarship and faith into positive action. His vision for the Institute program is that students will gain the necessary skills and experience to influence the culture, restore the family, revive the church and transform society.

Brown brings with him varied experience in academic administration, teaching, research and ministry work gained both in the United States and abroad. He has worked as an associate professor teaching courses in topics like organization and management to the African American experience, from business strategy to urban ministry and church history.

Brown has a doctorate of education from the University of Southern California, a master’s degree from Haggard Graduate School of Theology and a bachelor’s from Azusa Pacific University. He is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in management from Azusa Pacific. Brown is married to the love of his life, Tearrah, and they have three children.

Kerry Jackson
from Drawing to the Rock

Kerry was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi.  Kerry came to know Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior at the age of nine.  Early in his childhood he discovered his passion for art. His pursuit for more knowledge and skill led him to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in Painting from Mississippi State University. After several years working in the commercial art industry, he opened his own art studio called KBJ Studios. After six successful years, Kerry felt called by God to become a minister. Kerry sold his business and moved his family to Texas to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he recieved the Masters of Communication Arts degree in 1993.

Kerry and his wife, Twyla, currently live in downtown Atlanta where Kerry serves as lead church planter/pastor of Bezalel Church... a creative community of faith.

Kerry is also President of Drawing to the Rock Ministries, Inc.  Kerry travels all over the world communicating the gospel of Jesus Christ using visual art.

Kerry and Twyla have been married since 1980.  They have two daughters and son-in-laws.
